
Ece Kalaycıoğlu
Assistant Professor
Dr. Ece Kalaycıoğlu completed her B.Sc. degree in Department of Architecture of Istanbul Technical University in 2007. She started her M.Sc. studies in the same university and between 2008 and 2009 she completed a thesis research about building performance directives and energy certification systems in Politecnico di Torino. She obtained her M.Sc. degree in 2010. Finally, in 2017 she completed her Ph.D. in Istanbul Technical University. Between 2009 and 2016, she worked in EKOMIM Ecological Architectural Consultancy firm. Beginning from September 2017, she works as a lecturer in Özyeğin University and teaches the Built Environmental Control Studio Courses. Her areas of specialty are building energy performance, lighting and daylighting performance modeling and simulations, energy efficient and sustainable architectural design development, thermal and visual comfort analyses, zero/nearly zero energy/carbon building design, renewable energy systems and district energy systems.
