Dr. Özgür Göçer, graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture in 1998. She got the master degree from Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts by her thesis on “Spatial Interaction with Social Change Caused by Tourism Effects in Assos Historical Settlement” in 2001. She completed her Ph.D. studies in 2007 at Istanbul Technical University, Building Physics Program by her thesis named “Model of an Appropriate Glazing and Controlling System for Reducing Energy Consumption and Providing User Comfort in Atrium Buildings”. Between 2012-23, she worked as postdoctoral fellow in Cornell University, Department of Design and Environmental Analysis with the study of “Energy Demand Management and User Satisfaction in Intelligent Buildings”. She started working as a teaching assistant at Beykent University in 1999 and served as an Assistant Professor between 2007-September 2014. She has studies published in several journals, presented in symposiums and congress. Headlines of her research studies are; building materials’ and components’ hygrothermal performance, energy conscious building design and post occupancy evaluation especially in LEED certified buildings.
