Architecture Department Research Internship 2017 : ‘Reading Vernacular: Assos Antique City - Behramkale Village‘

Özyeğin University, Architecture and Design Faculty - Architecture Department run an on-site workshop ‘Reading Vernacular: Assos Antique City - Behramkale Village’ as a part of their research internship program, under supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Özgür Göçer and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru Karahan between 11-21 June 2017.
Assos Antique City - Behramkale Village, a 1st Priority Archeological and Historical Preservation Area, was analysed in terms of its spatial and social characteristics using questionnaire, inventory studies and building survey. By the end of the workshop, students redesigned new housing at their chosen sites according to target user profiles and scenarios.
